Angular JS is a type-script-based free and open source web application framework led by the Angular team at Google and by a community of individuals and corporations.
We all know that Angular supports client-side form validation. It keeps track of all the form and input fields and stores the information about whether anyone has touched or modified the field.

In this blog, we will share one of our works in which we have to add some features related to the form fields and its button to save the data.

Our task was not too much tedious but the input fields made it tedious for us.

In our input fields, we can enter the data in many forms and the task was to disable the save button until all the mandatory fields are not filled at the time of update/edit the button should remain disabled if any of
the values within the form are not changed.
As soon as we switched to this task, the first step was to analyse how the data is entering into the form.

## In this case, it was in three different forms.

### Through a Manual entry-
Just a simple input field is there and we have to type the desired data into it.

### Through API call
We have added an in which we are calling an API to get the names of all the users and we have to select from it in this, we can select multiple users and can dis select any at creator edit.

### Through Angular directive
Which is available in another component: In our project, we had some similar input fields in all the forms. So to remove the duplicacy of codes in all the features we have made a single component and added it directly to the desired places. All the _**[API](https://www.habilelabs.io/blog/a-complete-guide-machine-learning-model-to-api)**_ associated with it is available in the form of component.

Now after knowing about all the form fields, it’s time to implement the disable condition on the”Save” button to disable it at the required distance. In this, it is too easy to disable the button if any of the fields are empty by directly writing the angular’s form Control
Name of that field with the NOT operator.

But the difficult task is handling the edit case Angular features to detect form value changes
in which we have to detect the change in the fields at every instance if any values get changed.

## Ways to Detect the changes in the form-

### ngpristine
This property returns true if the form’s contents have not been changed.

### ng-dirty
This property returns true if the form’s contents have been changed.

### ng-touched
This property returns true if the user has visited the form.

### ng-untouched
This property returns true if the user has not visited the form.

From the aforementioned, ng-dirty result was the most suitable option for us and hence we used it in all the scenarios in different manners to detect the changes.

## Ways to implement the ngdirty in different scenarios-

### Edit Scenario
If we want to disable the button if any field is empty then we have to use the form Control Name as mentioned above)

When all the form fields have to be filled manually, no API cal land no external components or directives are there. In this case, just add a simply disable condition on the button.
[disabled]=”!form.dirty”
After adding this, in case of edit when the dialog box will open the “Save” button will remain disabled and it will remain disabled until any value gets changed.

### Case2:
When data is coming in the form field through a function call from “HTML” to the “ts” file and data gets loaded after the API response.

This scenario will only adding the disabled condition mentioned in Case 1 will not work, as data is coming from the API response, it becomes untraceable for the ng-dirty to detect.

Along with the disabled condition we have to use “Custom Input Component” from ngForm to track the change and then we just have to add a simple line after the successful API response within a function definition.
this.form.marks dirty();

(here form is the form group name)
Through this statement, ng-dirty is able to detect the change and it changes the state of the button.

When data is coming from the external directive made as per the project’s
requirement to remove the duplicacy of the code. This is a tedious condition to handle as their no association of the directive with the form group. Due to this reason,ng-dirty is not able to track the change.
To handle this condition we have to implement “EventEmitter”,
“CustomInputComponent” and the disabled condition on the button.

Let’s go into a bit more detail as to how this situation was handled.

Suppose this directive which we are using calls a function to get the data, in this function we have to use event Emitter in such a manner.

- **@Output()dataChange=newEventEmitter();**
declare
one event emitter in the directive before a constructor
- **this.dataChange.emit(true);**
Add this line in the function before return which is responsible for bringing the data in the form component. These lines emit the event we will listen to in the main form group component.
(The directive file will have this two steps added in it)
- **(dataChange)=”onUserDataChange()”**
Add this line in the HTML directive. A function will be called on UserDataChange() and then as soon as the directive will be touched on this, it will listen to the event.
- **onUserDataChange() {this.form.markAsDirty();}**
 In the definition of the function which is being called at the time of listening to an event just add the “Custom Input Component” used in Case 2.

## Conclusion
Remember this function will be called when the event is emitted, this event is emitted when we touch the HTML form field associated with the directive.

On this, we will listen to the event and call the function which says that something is being changed due to which the ng-dirty will be able to change the state of the button.
This was the whole planned-out visualization of our problem in the simplest technical way possible using this technology which never gets old.

Web tools to analyze the website’s performance!

**R**eact JS, is the versatile front-end library for building user interfaces based on UI components and is very helpful in making web applications as well as mobile applications.

React adheres to the declarative programming paradigm and is in contrast with imperative programming.

Today, we are going to share how we can use React with any existing old project without having any disturbance in current development.

A few months ago, we were working on one old AngularJS-based project and the client asked to upgrade the project with the latest frameworks like ReactJS/VueJS/Angular.

However, we were stuck with a problem in that we were already in mid of one major long task and the client was in a hurry. It was a situation of doing or dying, but we overcame it by merging ReactJS.

## Challenges Faced while Merging React.js with Angular-

While upgrading the project, the following were the problems that we faced-

- The project manuscript was ancient, written in AngularJS (1.X version).
- The ongoing development tasks were almost 60–70% complete.
- The project delivery timeline was getting closer, so we needed to be quick.


Because of the aforementioned points, we were not in a position to set up a new project and start everything from scratch, as it would’ve taken a lot of time and affected existing and running tasks.


## Solution-


After analyzing the situation and looking over multiple options, we decided to use ReactJS parallelly with AngularJS and started implementing all new features in React and eventually moved completely onto that.

## Why React?

ReactJS is an open source Library, and that too is the simplest in the current avant-garde technologies.

We can easily include ReactJS in any website by using script tags or installing react package in case of using any build tool like webpack.


## Integration of React.js with Angular

We hope that now you have understood why ReactJS, was the best choice at that moment. So, now without wasting time, lets me show you how we integrated React with the existing AngularJS project with small configurations.

## 👉 Set up Webpack and ESLint

We used webpack to configure the dev server and create a build so that developers can feel like they are working with ReactJS only. 😃

To set up webpack-

✔ Install webpack and eslint-related dependency (you can check the dependency from the sample repository’s package.json)

✔ Create 3 configuration files -

- **webpack.config.dev.js :** Include common config + dev server-related configurations.

- **webpack.config.common.js :** Add all common webpack configurations including main file, eslint config, plugins, rules for JS/JSX/SCSS files

- **webpack.config.prod.js :** Include common config + build related configurations

## 👉 Root Files (Main.js & index.ejs)

After Webpack and eslint configuration, let’s create one JS file where we include all our AngularJS files like app.js, controllers, directives, scss files … etc.

This is our main file (Don’t forget to add webpack.common.js as an entry point).

Now let’s create one index.ejs file used to generate dynamic index.html with newly build files, you can also check the [index.ejs](https://github.com/om-prakash-sharma/react-in-angularJs/blob/main/index.ejs) file content.

## 👉 Configure and Render React Components

To configure React.js with Angular project-

- First install react dependency using npm (you can check the dependency from the sample repository’s package.json)
- After installing the dependency, create one react component, i.e. Login Component.
- Now we will create one common directive according to this path-
[/src/directives/react-page.directive.js](https://github.com/om-prakash-sharma/react-in-angularJs/blob/main/src/directives/react-%20page.directive.js)

This is our main directive which will take the id, pageName, and based on the respective page. It will render react components, will create some custom events to check whenever the theme/language will change, and then will re-render the component.

**M**icroPython is a lean and efficient implementation of the Python 3 programming language that includes a small subset of the **_[Python standard library](https://www.habilelabs.io/blog/best-python-libraries-for-data-science)_** and is optimised to run on micro controllers and in constrained environments.

The MicroPython pyboard is a compact electronic circuit board that runs MicroPython on the bare metal, giving you a low-level Python operating system that can be used to control all kinds of electronic projects.

## Why MicroPython?

Python is one of the most widely used, simple and easy-to-learn programming languages around.

So, the emergence of MicroPython makes it extremely easy and simple to program digital electronics.

MicroPython’s goal is to make programming digital electronics as simple as possible, so it can be used by anyone.

Currently, MicroPython is used by hobbyists, researchers, teachers, educators, and even in commercial products.

The code for blinking an LED on a ESP32 or ESP8266 is as simple as follows:

### Requirements

The first thing you need is a board with an ESP32 chip. The MicroPython software supports the ESP32 chip itself and any board should work.

### Powering the board

Your ESP32 board has a USB connector on it then most likely it is powered through this when connected to your PC.

### Getting the firmware

The first thing you need to do is download the MicroPython firmware .bin file to load onto your ESP32 device. You can download it from the [MicroPython downloads page](https://micropython.org/download#esp32). From here, you have 3 main choices:

- Stable firmware builds
- Daily firmware builds
- Daily firmware builds with SPIRAM support


If you are just starting with MicroPython, the best bet is to go for the Stable firmware builds. If you are an advanced, experienced MicroPython ESP32 user who would like to follow development closely and help with testing new features, there are daily builds.

In this blog we’ll recommend you to use Esp32 Version 17 bin firmware file : [Esp32–20210902-v1.17.bin](https://micropython.org/resources/firmware/esp32-20210902-v1.17.bin)


### Deploying the firmware

Once you have the MicroPython firmware you need to load it onto your ESP32 device.

There are two main steps to do this:

- You need to put your device in bootloader mode.
- Need to copy across the firmware.


Fortunately, ESP32 boards have a USB connector, a USB-serial converter, and the DTR and RTS pins wired in a special way then deploying the firmware should be easy as all steps can be done automatically.

For best results it is recommended to first erase the entire flash of your device before putting on new MicroPython firmware.

Currently Micropython only supports “esptool.py” to copy across the firmware. You can find this tool here: [https://github.com/espressif/esptool/](https://github.com/espressif/esptool/), or install it using pip:

Using esptool.py you can erase the flash with the command:

## Writing a Mpy C extension


In Embedded while writing lengthy codes we sometimes find a quick solution, here the Micropython comes to the rescue, allowing us to implement an arbitrarily complex module directly in Microcontrollers.

When developing modules for use with MicroPython you may find you run into limitations with the Python environment, often due to an inability to access certain hardware resources or Python speed limitations.

Writing some or all of your modules in C (and/or C++ if implemented for your port) is a viable option.

This of course allows the implementation of components in C++ as well, as long as C linkage is used for the functions effectively called in the “.Mpy” module.

The focus here is on using C to build native modules, but in principle any language which can be compiled to stand-alone machine code can be put into a .mpy file.

A native .mpy module is built using the mpy_ld.py tool, which is found in the tools/ directory of the project.

This tool takes a set of object files (.o files) and links them together to create a native .mpy files. It requires CPython 3 and the library pyelftools v0.25 or greater.


## Supported features and limitations


A .mpy file can contain MicroPython bytecode and/or native machine code. If it contains native machine code then the .mpy file has a specific architecture associated with it. Current supported architectures are :

- x86 (32 bit)
- x64 (64 bit x86)
- armv6m (ARM Thumb, eg Cortex-M0)
- armv7m (ARM Thumb 2, eg Cortex-M3)
- armv7emsp (ARM Thumb 2, single precision float, eg Cortex-M4F, Cortex-M7)
- armv7emdp (ARM Thumb 2, double precision float, eg Cortex-M7)
- xtensa (non-windowed, eg ESP8266)
- xtensawin (windowed with window size 8, eg ESP32)

Change your “Path location to file” to your “location to file xtensa-esp32-elf” & run command.

Move “C_MPy_Python” folder into “micropython-1.17” folder with

Go to “C_Mpy_Micropython”.

Run Make Command

Now we have .mpy File in C_Mpy_Micropython folder. This “.mpy” file is our native file for Micropyton.

In same directory copy all files in ESP32 then run it into micropython.

Because our 'C' Program was a factorial program and in main.py we called .mpy file function for factorial of '10'.
